Is There Anything I Can't Bog

Here is some Photo's of what My Brother Luke and Myself got up to at Xmas.

We went down to our parents farm were we grew up at Cobargo in my 4x4 and

proceeded to go in search of mud on our farm to try to have some fun in. I must

mention at this point that yes we were in the middle of the biggest drought for 100

years and yes we managed to get our selves bogged twice.

The Creek

This is the first bog hole we found. It just happened to be the only bit of

moisture in the hole creek. So we tried to drive thru it. We didn't make it.

After digging and trying to put logs under the tyres we ended up pulling it

out with Dad's new 4x4.

The Dry Dam (or so we thought)

This is what we thought was a dried up dam, as you can see we were wrong

it was mearly dried on the top with a shit load of mud waiting for us under the

surface. We had to walk back and get dad with the tractor. All the way back in

the tractor with Dad to pull it out we were copping abuse from Dad like "Bloody

Dickheads", all the time with a big grin on his face. We new he wished he was

25 years younger and doing exactly what we were doing.

Travel Test Log

This is a log that I found to drive up to show off the travel in my suspention.

The Tractor Bogging

You are probably wondering what is going on here, well this is my story. Luke and I

decided that because it was a drought and there was no water around for the cows that

we, being the good sons we are, would get the tractor with the grader and dig a water

hole in the creek. Everything was going well until we actually found water and

proceeded to get the tractor bogged in the hole which we had just dug. Some of you are

probably thinking bloody dickheads, well as you can imagine that was exactly what Dad

was calling us again. After a dismal attempt at pulling it out with Dad's 4x4 we were of

to ask our old neighbour to give us a hand. His tractor is a relic from the 1900's and it

too was to no success. So we had to ring another neighbour that is a bit further away to

come over with his big 4x4 tractor. I dont have any photo's of this one as my film ran out

but it had no problem pulling it out and after dropping a case of VB of to him the next

day everything was back fine. The hole evan filled with some water.
